OLR - Setting Up Online Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year: From Running New Year Rollover to Online Registration!

This session is a working session with different tasks in the morning and afternoon. We will start the day running your complete (as time permits) New Year Rollover process and then set up Online Registration for the 23/24 School Year in the afternoon! This session does contain a schedule for the session, and a list of information that we will need you to come with to allow for complete setup.

Utilizing Design Configuration in Synergy SE

What happens when your district has a new requirement for capturing data and existing documents and fields just don’t do? In this session you’ll learn how to utilize Design Configuration and User Defined Data to create UD screens and tabs to track UD data in Synergy SE.

 

SIS - New Year Rollover (Part 1 of 2) - Consultation & Preparation Session

*NOTE: This is a virtual lecture session that will serve as the consultation prior to the onsite hands-on main session on December 15.

We will walk through any prerequisite needs for the hands-on New Year Rollover session and provide an individualized list of what information needs to be gathered, moving into break-out sessions as needed.

SIS - New Year Rollover (Part 2 of 2) - Running the Process

In this hands-on session, we will walk through the complete (as time permits) New Year Rollover process in your individual district sites! Depending on the variety of needs in the group, we may offer breakout rooms by district needs/size. (To be discovered in the prerequisite session in November.) Remote and onsite students will be taught together in a hybrid format.

Instructional Applications - Transitioning to New Grade Book

See a demonstration of the new grade book and content creation tools. Review district considerations for enabling New Grade Book for teachers, such as implementation timing, pilot group options, and support considerations. This session will assist schools that want to set up new MSB option sets, but would like some guidance. We will create new option sets and add setup for building the new schedule. This includes discussing meeting days, course grouping, section attributes, teacher assignments, room assignments and linking. *Note: Attendees will need to be able to access their data remotely.

PREREQUISITES: Master Schedule Builder license installed. New Year rollover completed. The attendee has used Master Schedule Builder at least one time in the past few years.

SE - Building Queries and Reports Specific to SE

February 28, 2023  |  1 pm - 4 pm  |  $299 Onsite in Mesa, AZ  |  $299 Virtual

This session will review the basic characteristics of Special Education Query. Session topics will include selecting data on screen, opening that data in Synergy Query, formatting and outputting data. Attendees will leave with information and resources to guide them in extracting specific data fields to create and format reports of their own. Remote and onsite students will be taught together in a hybrid format.

SIS - Mass Scheduling - Preparing Your Option Sets

This session is an introduction to Mass Scheduling for users that may not have done the process in the past. During this short session, we will discuss creating the option set, copying an option set, modifying sections, prescheduling students and reports. This session is not for those that are ready to run the scheduler at the time of the training. *Note: Attendees will need to be able to access their data remotely.

SE - User Defined Documents for Special Ed Students

User defined (UD) documents can meet the need for forms that match the look and feel of other Synergy SE documents and capture information within the database for ease in reporting and extraction of vital data. In this session you’ll get hands-on experience creating the user interface and print view of UD documents. Remote and onsite students will be taught together in a hybrid format.

SE - Validation Rule Builder v2 & IEP Validation Rule Builder

June 7, 2023  |  9 am - 11 am  |  $299 Onsite in Mesa, AZ  |  $249 Virtual

This session will review how to add and define validations through IEP Validation Rule Builder and Validation Rule Builder v.2. Attendees will leave with an understanding of what a validation is and the capabilities and limitations of the validation rule builder tools. Additionally, Attendees will get hands-on experience building validations for the IEP and other system documents. This includes validation tied to grids, lookup tables, text or numeric fields, dates and checkboxes. Remote and onsite students will be taught together in a hybrid format.
