Northern Humboldt Union High School District (CA) Selects Synergy

Edupoint® Educational Systems has been selected by Northern Humboldt Union High School District (NHUHSD) to implement the company's Synergy® Student Information System, replacing Schoolmaster. The district's cloud-hosted Synergy solution will include the fully-integrated Synergy Online Registration, California State Reporting, TeacherVUE® Portal With Gradebook, and ParentVUE® and StudentVUE® portals. NHUHSD serves approximately 1,700 students from a 900 square mile area of Northern California.

“It was laborious to get the data out of our old system,” said Suzie McCray, Programs and Data Systems Coordinator for NHUHSD. “But the final straw for the district was the vendor’s inability to stay current with California state reporting. CALPADS has become more important to our local control accountability plan.  Our funding is tied to CALPADS so it’s critical that this data be correct.

“As we evaluated vendors for a new SIS solution, we looked at their track record on innovation, including mobile applications. We wanted a company that we could grow into, not one that we would be pushing to keep pace as our needs change and evolve. In the end we selected Edupoint's Synergy. We liked how well Synergy integrates to the California special education reporting system we use and our users appreciated how user friendly the software is. But what really clinched the decision for me was the reference checking process. All of the Edupoint references were positive and I liked what they had to say about the product and the company.”

“We are delighted to partner with NHUHSD as they modernize their student information system, simplify processes, and improve data accuracy,” said Rob Wilson, President and Chief Innovation Officer of Edupoint. “Our Synergy Education Platform is well-designed to help the district meet its goals, not just today, but as they continue to evolve over time.”
