Edupoint’s GENESIS, GENESEA and Revelation Technology suite of products is being rebranded as the Synergy Educational Platform.  Our new Synergy brand name and Education Platform descriptor reflect the evolution of our GENESIS and GENESEA solutions which have been enhanced over several years to provide a true K-12 student data management platform.  The Synergy name also better represents the benefits derived from our solutions as we engage all district stakeholders and empower our partners through powerful, integrated solutions.

Q – Why are we changing the name?

A – As we continue to grow into new states and markets, Edupoint became aware of another student information system vendor in New Jersey called GENESIS.  Both companies, Edupoint and the New Jersey GENESIS, began using the GENESIS trade name when we were regional providers, and it wasn’t until recently, with Edupoint’s national growth and attention, that this became an issue.  And while Edupoint has a US Patent and Trademark Office approved trademark registration for GENESIS nationally, we could not protect this name in New Jersey and a two other states where the GENESIS company had regional trade name protection. 

However this was merely a catalyst that caused us to act now.  We have been considering rebranding the GENESIS product suite for some time to update our brand to better match what we’ve become – a powerful education data management platform.

Q – Have we been acquired?  Or are we acquiring another company?

A – No.  Edupoint is simply rebranding our GENESIS, GENESEA and Revelation Technology product suite.  This is not an acquisition or merger of any kind.

Q – What is the new name structure? 

A – The Synergy Education Platform will include what is now GENESIS, GENESEA, Revelation Technology, ParentVUE, StudentVUE, TeacherVUE, LessonVUE and AdminVUE. 

• GENESIS has become Synergy Student Information System. 
• GENESEA has become Synergy Special Education. 
• Revelation Technology has become Synergy Technology.
• The VUE products (ParentVUE, StudentVUE, TeacherVUE, AdminVUE and LessonVUE) will keep their existing brand names and remain fully integrated within the Synergy Education Platform.

Q – Will the product(s) change?

A - GENESIS, GENESEA, TeacherVUE gradebook and LessonVUE, etc. will continue to be enhanced in 7.5.  The products will include the new logos where appropriate but the products themselves are not materially different because of the name change.  That said, significant enhancements in 7.5 take advantage of new powerful, visionary technology to provide more robust collaboration capabilities than ever before available in the GENESIS suite.

Q – What is an Education Platform?

A – Education Platform is the new descriptor for our Synergy product suite.  Education Platform describes this living, breathing framework that allows us to continually innovate and extend our existing products and deliver new functionality to meet the needs of education market today and in the future.
