The History of Edupoint

From mainframes to mid-range, from distributed systems and client/server architectures to today’s true web-based solutions, the company’s long history, is, essentially the history of computer technology applied to the management of student information in the US.  From 1989 to 1997, the principals of Edupoint developed, marketed, installed, and supported the SASI III and SASIxp student information systems, which was then sold to NCS Pearson. Edupoint supported and developed new technology for the SASIxp product under a contract with Pearson School Systems from 1997 to 2002. Edupoint Educational Systems has been developing, marketing, installing, and supporting web-based student information systems since 2002. Edupoint’s Synergy Special Education system was released in 2002 and the Synergy^® Student Information System was released in 2004.
